Welcome to Sosei Aikido Kyokai – Iaido
Sosei Aikido Kyokai was formed to fill a need in the Aikido community and keep the dream of Fumio Toyoda Shihan alive of making Aikido available for everyone.
Along with Aikido, the Sosei Aikido Kyokai supports it’s own Iaido Study Group. Iaido is the practice of Japanese Swordsmanship.
The study group’s main focus is on Mugai Ryu Iai although some member dojo practice other forms of Iaido.
The director of Sosei Aikido Kyokai is Roberto (Bob) Garza, Nidan Mugai Ryu Iai, Yondan in Aikido and student of Toyoda Shihan, former member of the Aikido Association of America, The National Teaching Committee, Midwest Testing Committee and Dojo Cho, now Chief instructor at “A Center for the Martial Arts”, home of Sosei Aikido Kyokai, Sosei Aikido Kyokai Iaido Study Group and Soseikan Dojo, in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, in the Village of Worth Illinois.
